Pinfolio’s October 28–29, 2026 web update adds owner-controlled private drafts, scheduled card and deck releases, and optional approved email notices. The reviewed deployment went live October 29 in Saskatchewan. This October 31 article is scheduled separately from GoodBattery’s October 30 introduction; the Pinfolio features are already available in the web beta.
Prepare privately, then choose when to share
A project owner can keep one card or an entire deck as a private draft, choose a future release time, publish it when ready, or change a planned release back to a draft. A separate private/scheduled area keeps unfinished work apart from the shared board.
These controls belong to the project owner. Collaborators and viewing-code recipients do not receive unreleased card content, hidden deck titles, files, preview images, or associated comments through the shared views. Download and archive access follow the same visibility rules.
A card inside a private deck stays private until that deck opens. Moving a card out of a hidden deck retains its release restriction, so reorganizing the board does not accidentally publish unfinished material. Content visibility is checked on the server and does not depend on leaving the owner’s browser open.
Approve an optional email with the release
When email sending is connected for the profile, the owner can choose recipients and review a subject and message while scheduling the content. The email is optional: content can be released without sending a notification.
The approved message and recipients are saved with the release. Later changes to project text do not silently rewrite that approved email. Review the saved notice when changing a release plan. Future releases can be rescheduled or returned to drafts; removed or archived targets and changed sharing links are checked before notification processing.
Email delivery is processed in the background and may follow the selected content-release time. Retries reuse the saved message and sending identity rather than composing a new email from the latest board text. A service accepting an email does not establish delivery to the recipient’s inbox.
An archive for older work and pinning for priorities
Older decks and individual cards can be moved into an archive, opened for reference, and restored when needed. Pinning a card keeps it at the top of a deck. This is separate from protecting a finished deck against edits by other collaborators.
Archiving organizes the project; it does not make shared material owner-private. Use the private-draft controls when a card or deck should remain hidden from recipients.
New and Updated markers now follow deliberate viewing. Opening an item or using an explicit link, document, or video action marks that content version as viewed. Opening a deck or scrolling past its cards does not clear every badge. Reordering, pinning, and archiving are organization changes rather than new content versions.
Live status and verification
The reviewed source matches Pinfolio’s successful web deployment from October 29 at 2:55 PM Saskatchewan time. Verification covered owner/recipient visibility differences, hidden-file filtering, release-time behavior, and preserving a hidden parent’s restriction when a card moves.
The live scheduling service confirmed that scheduled processing and email sending were configured. Visibility checks used disposable examples, and the live service check was read-only.
